Winter is the season for engagements. During Christmas my social media feed was full of announcements for friends and family planning to tie the knot in 2016! It’s a fun time – but it can also be a stressful time for a soon-to-be bride.
I am of the opinion that every bride needs a good wedding planning workbook or guide. There are so many details that go into a big day. It’s imperative that you think through each one carefully so that your wedding is everything you want it to be. A good planner or checklist will help you systematically think through every detail from thank you notes to music.
There are two resources I would recommend to you:
First is the Southern Weddings Planner. Not only is this planner the perfect tool for helping you consider every detail, it’s also pretty! And practical! Its gold foil and water colors are nice to look at and its three ring construction makes adding notes and inspirations easy! I love the heart behind Southern Weddings. The vision behind the planner is no different. Lara (editor in chief) and her staff seek to prepare young women for marriage – not just a one day event.
The second resource I recommend is Martha Stewart’s printable Wedding Workbook. This 8 page (FREE) checklist is so helpful! Where Southern Weddings focuses more on the heart behind your event, Martha Stewart keeps it practical and systematic.
I encourage you to consider using these tools together for a holistic approach to planning your big day!
Wedding planning should be FUN. Take advantage of these resources so that you can enjoy the process of planning a new life with your best friend.
